This screen version of F. Scott Fitzgerald's unfinished novel is an accomplished film for its acting alone, but it still seems unfinished, although Harold Pinter's script does the best it can. Worth seeing if only for De Niro's performance. Nicholson has a memorable small part as a script writer trying to start a union.
