Writer-director Bertrand Blier's phantasmagoria Calmos (1976) follows the misadventures of middle-aged pals Paul (Jean-Pierre Marielle) and Albert (Jean Rochefort), who ditch their wives and hit the road, hoping for freedom from responsibilities. After setting up camp in a lazy town, our heroes are captured by a uniformed army of enraged females, who hold them captive and turn them into scientifically monitored sperm producers.
