Stroker Ace, which bowed in 1983, marked yet another collaboration between former stuntman-turned-director Hal Needham and his longtime buddy and toupee-wearer extraordinaire Burt Reynolds.

Obviously, being a collaborative effort between these two Holly-wad Heavyweights, the movie just had to center on cars, stunts, or both. Did you see Smokey and the Bandit? Hooper? The Cannonball Run? The not-quite-a-hit series B.L. Stryker? That’s right.
